Budget mobile phone network FreedomPop have launched their own smartphone along with a free monthly tariff.
The FreedomPop V7 is a low-end android smartphone that will set you back just £59. In addition, you’ll also get a SIM card that’ll hook you up with 200 Minutes, 200 texts and 200MB data at no monthly cost. If that isn’t enough for you then you can always, get another SIM, choose from one of their other very low-cost deals, and drop that in the phone too – yes this phone is Dual SIM.
The good stuff doesn’t end there either, the V7 boasts cutting-edge seamless wifi-to-cellular switching and automatic wifi calling when connected to a strong network.
Although FreedomPop have been selling devices for years, this is the first time they have announced their own device.
“We want the entire FreedomPop experience to be simple, convenient and affordable for consumers, and that includes the device you use with your free plan,” said Nicholas Constantinopoulos, FreedomPop’s International President. “In order to ensure everyone can get access to wireless service, it was important we offer a high-quality, full-featured Android phone at a price anyone can afford. Starting today with the FreedomPop V7, there is no reason anyone should be without wireless service.”
We mentioned the V7 is a low-end android phone but here are a few more of the smartphones specs…
- 5-inch IPS screen
- 13 MP AF camera + 5 MP FF and flash LED
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- Dual SIM

While it’s not one for the most hardcore of smartphone users, if you’re just jumping on board the smartphone bandwagon or if you very rarely use your phone, this may not be a bad deal.
FreedomPop uses the Three mobile network for both 3G and 4G.
