Samsung is rolling out a new software update to its Galaxy S5 smartphone which was released back in 2014.
The update installs the July security patches and is being rolled out over the air (OTA). As usual with OTA updates, it is being pushed out in stages so it may take a few days or even weeks to hit your device.
The update comes with build number G900FXXU1CQG1 and as well as the monthly security patch, the update also adds a few other bug fixes and some minor system improvements.
As always it is highly recommended to install updates to optimises the security of your device. If you’re eager to get the update and have not yet received a notification you can go in to Settings>About Device>System Update.
