Mobile operator Three UK has published their latest results for the first half of 2017, which reveals that their 3G and 4G indoor network coverage has now reached 97% (up from 81% in 2015) and 4G population coverage is at 91%.
The operator also claims to have a total customer base of 12,010,000 (up from 10,848,000 at the same point last year), although only 9,992,000 of those are marked as being “active customers“. The average data usage per customer came out as 6.9 GigaBytes (up from 5.4GB last year). The latter is hardly surprising because Three UK sell various “all-you-can-eat” Mobile Broadband tariffs and appear to encourage heavy data use (e.g. Go Binge).
